How CVH works

How CVH works

Four steps, and one of them is optional. Here is what happens, who sees what, and what we don't do.

Claim + Observation + Decision

01

You publish what the role needs.

You write the requirements and approve each one before it goes live. Candidates answer to those, not to a generic form.

02

The candidate describes what they did.

In their own words, tied to one requirement. We keep the exact wording, so what an observer reads and what you read are the same text.

03

Someone who was there confirms it.

The candidate names a person who saw the work. We email that person a secure link with the claim and one question. One tap answers it: Yes, I can confirm this. Detail is optional.

04

You review the application.

Organized by requirement, with the person, how closely they saw the work, and a link to the record behind every line.

Evidence is optional

An application is complete with nothing attached.

  • Zero claims, zero requests, zero confirmations still submits.
  • Submission goes through immediately and never waits for anyone to reply.
  • Employers can't require confirmations or reject a candidate automatically for not having them.

A claim nobody has confirmed reads as nothing more than this:

Not yet independently corroborated

Who sees what

The same rules apply to every surface.

The screen and the email answer to the same rules.

Candidate

Sees

Their own application, their claims, and the requests they sent with the date they were sent.

Never sees

How any specific person answered. No delivery state, no opens, no declines, no reminders.

Observer

Sees

Only the claims put in front of them, who is asking, and their own answer and manage controls.

Never sees

Other observers, the rest of the application, or anything the employer does next.

Employer

Sees

The application, the claims, the positive confirmations, and who gave them, with the source behind each one.

Never sees

Declines, non-answers, wrong-recipient replies, withdrawn confirmations, reminders, or trust and fraud state.

CVH internal

Sees

Operational, consent, and integrity state, under explicit authorization and a recorded reason.

Boundary

Internal access never opens a private outcome to a candidate, an observer, or an employer.

The observer's side

Every answer costs the candidate nothing.

Saying no is a full answer

Anyone we email can say they can't speak to it, that they don't know the person, or that the request reached the wrong address. The employer never sees that they were asked.

Correcting the record

If the relationship a candidate described is wrong, the observer corrects it in their own words before answering, and how closely they saw the work is theirs to state.

What a confirmation never becomes

A confirmation is one person saying they saw one thing. There is no verified badge, no trust number, and nothing that ranks one person above another.

What we don't do

CVH changes the application. Not the reference call.

No candidate score, ranking number, or verified badge
Ordering that isn't chronological explains itself, and the full list of applicants stays available.
No public candidate profile or portable reputation
No follower count, and nothing a candidate builds here travels with them to another employer.
No route for criticism
Declines and cannot-assess answers never reach the employer and never reach the candidate. We don't ask an observer to write criticism.
No paid referrals, no network requirement
A candidate never needs to know the right people to be taken seriously here. Directness of observation is what matters, not prestige.

Try it on one role.

Create your organization, write the requirements, and share the link. You can close the job at any time.
